Want to see the finished product from KC Restoration’s recent video shoot? Here’s a link to the fabulous short video created by The Heisenbergs, videographers for the 2017 Kansas City Chamber’s Small Business of the Year and Mr. K Award competiton. We think you will be as impressed as we are!
Congratulations to Ike Nwabuonwu and Alpha Energy and Electric, Inc. for being this year’s KC Chamber’s Small Business of the Year and Mr. K Award recipient! We’ve so enjoyed learning about all the wonderful things you are accomplishing with your business and your support of Kansas City from Troost revitalization to international business markets and beyond.
Enormous thanks to all our customers who supported us, encouraged us, and gave us opportunities to serve them and beautify Kansas City. It was great to see some of you at the luncheon yesterday cheering us on! Thank you also to the judges who made the daunting experience a warm and friendly one, to the mentors who have guided us and lent your support every step of the way, and to everyone on the KC Restoration team who always give your best without motivation of recognition, but because you care about our customers and each other. It has been a blessing and an honor to represent all of you at the events of this year’s KC Chamber’s Small Business Celebration!
Way to go, LeAnn! This morning KC Restoration’s team and some 300 other attendees got to hear LeAnn and the other executives of the KC Chamber’s Top 10 Small Businesses speak about the best practices for leading a successful small business in the Kansas City region. We are so proud to be included in this year’s group of thriving businesses that exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit, community service, excellent employee relations, and business growth that Ewing Kauffman, the namesake of the Mr. K Award, lived and provided a fitting legacy for Kansas Citians. And we thank all the executives for sharing your personal experiences and knowledge this morning. It made for a fascinating event that many put a lot of hard work to achieve: the executives, moderators, judges, Laura Dryden and the KC Chamber team, and the Panel Breakfast’s sponsor Commerce Bank!
What a week for KC Restoration! Alongside that interesting video shoot, we also got to welcome the team of KC Chamber judges to our shop and offices here in southern Olathe.
This esteemed group with years of experience leading, developing, and handling the challenges and opportunities of small businesses will be deciding the winner of this year’s Kansas City Chamber’s Small Business of the Year and Mr. K Award. We thank you all for taking the time from your busy schedules to be involved in this rewarding Celebrations process. And for spending the time with us to learn what KC Restoration is all about!
Our team enjoyed meeting you and answering your questions; Matt and Robert hope you love the bronze plaques they patina’d for you in the style of KC Restoration’s office sign. Want to know how they achieved the look? From flat sheets of brass, they applied darkening patina to the negative space highlighting the text of the sign and plaques. Then the dimensional effect at the corners was achieved by changing the direction of the metal’s grain.
