Facelift for KC Rhino

KC Restoration’s technicians recently added a first to their list of experiences: coating a rhino! Lucky for them that this one was a statue marking the entrance to Science City’s Nature Center and not the real thing. The large replica rhino was removed from his perch to get a darker gray metallic coating that stands out against the updated lighter gray coating applied to the steel platform, arch, and surrounding base. On your next visit to the museum in Union Station, be sure to take a look up at this great-looking rhino and stop by to see the Nature Center’s diverse group of animals or catch one of the fascinating Educator Chats featuring one of the animals.
