Happy 1st day of school to all the students and teachers starting the fall semester at the Kansas School for the Deaf here in Olathe, KS!
Over the summer break, KC Restoration’s team had the honor of getting to work on your campus when we donated our metal refinishing and coating services to help make improvements to the campus. We are so proud to have such an exceptional school right here in our community that we were moved to support in the best way that KC Restoration can: beautifying the metal accenting KSD’s campus. These photos show some of our work coating fixtures worn by weather and exterior conditions, as well as refinishing signage and plaques to bring the beauty of the bronze and metal to the forefront.
Alongside getting to meet some of the outstanding staff helping to deliver the high-quality education that KSD is now known for, we were surprised to learn of the deep years of history that have made the school we know today. KSD officially opened all the way back in October 1861, making it the oldest state education institution in the state! We hope the school year ahead brings many more moments of wonder, connection, and accomplishment to make it a hallmark year in KSD history!
