If you’re looking for a last minute idea for a romantic getaway this Valentines Day weekend, here’s a suggestion: Check out the Downtown Marriott. KC Restoration is sure you and your valentine will be as greatly impressed as we were when we recently worked on the historic Muehlebach portion of the hotel.
Below, you can see some photos of our work. Marriott and Centric Projects contracted us to renovate the metal accents to 35 elevator cabs and entrances, 900 lineal feet of bronze handrail, and 4 escalator units. We also worked on the foot rail and waiter rail in the Muehlebach’s bar, as well as some beautiful ornate lamps and a fountain which was originally designed as a spittoon when the hotel was built in 1915.
If you spot any of KC Restoration’s rubbed oil bronze patina finishes or satin bronze finishes on your visit to the Marriott, let us know what you think of them.
