Gardner Independence Day Festival
- When: 5-10:30 p.m. July 4
- What: Live music featuring Big Time Grain Co, Jameson Rodgers, and Drew Green, plus games, inflatables, activities, food vendors, and fireworks. Gates open at 3 p.m. Fireworks show begins at 10 p.m.

Celebrating the Fourth at the Farm – Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead Overland Park
- When: 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. July 4.
- What: Old-fashioned games and activities, a cake walk, a pig-calling contest, and a bike parade. NOTE: Farmstead closes at 2 p.m.

Leawood Celebration in the Park
- When: 12 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. July 4
- What: Live music, food vendors, swimming, kids’ activities, and entertainment. The Leawood Aquatic Center is open from 12 – 6. Kids activities and food vendors open at 6 p.m. Live music starts at 7 p.m. Fireworks begin around 9:45 p.m.

Lenexa Community Days Parade
- When: 10 a.m. July 4
- What: Annual Independence Day parade that goes throughout the city of Lenexa
- Where: Santa Fe Trail Drive & Pflumm Road Lenexa, KS 66215

- When: Multiple events starting July 1 and running through July 6
- What: Mahaffies’ Independence Day– July 1, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Activities include a reading of the Declaration of Independence, cannon fire, vintage baseball, cookstove demonstrations, and more
- What: Beach Fest– July 4, 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Lake Olathe’s 4th of July Celebration. The event includes Aqua Park use, boat rentals, open swimming, a tie-dye water gun fight, and more. There is a fee associated with this event.
- What: July 4th Fireworks– July 4, 9:45 p.m. – 11 p.m. Annual fireworks display at College Boulevard Activity Center Free
- What: Family Fun Nights – 1860s Fireworks at Mahaffie– July 6, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Free to attend. Olathe Civic Band performs around 7:30 p.m. Patriotic music is scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m. followed by fireworks around 9:30 p.m.
Overland Park Star-Spangled Spectacular
- When: 6 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. July 4
- What: Concerts, food, and fireworks. Food trucks open and concerts begin at 5 p.m. Fireworks start around 10 p.m.

The Fourth of July in Stilwell
- When: 5 – 10 p.m. July 4
- What: Community parade, food, and fireworks display. The parade takes place at 6 p.m. Fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m. Jam-N-Dogs will be selling hot dogs, water, and candy-type snacks. There will also be a concession trailer selling shaved ice, walking tacos, and root beer floats. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

Independence Day Celebration in Independence
- When: 5:30- 10:00 p.m. July 1
- What: Music, food trucks, and fireworks. Food trucks will be available and live music will begin at 7 p.m. and play through 8:45 p.m. The Spirit of Independence Concert Band will play at 9 p.m. and fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
- Where: Independence Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Visitor Center 937 W. Walnut Street, Independence, Missouri
- Cost: Free
- When: 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. July 3
- What: Kansas City Groove Therapy concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Free inflatable air toys for the children to play in from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Free cotton candy at the amphitheater and playground. Concessions are available for purchase.

Lee’s Summit Legacy Blast Fireworks Celebration
- When: 6-9:30 p.m. July 3
- What: Fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks show will be choreographed to music and simulcast on 94.9 KCMO. Concessions, food truck vendors, face-painting, balloon artists, and inflatables for kids 12 and under will be at the baseball, soccer, softball, and football venues before the fireworks. In the event of rain, Legacy Blast has a scheduled rain-out date of July 5.

Oak Grove’s Sparks & Stripes Event
- When: Friday, July 7 at 6 p.m. until after dark
- What: Food trucks, face painters, D.J., balloon artists, and a tethered hot air balloon ride with fireworks after dark

Parkville 4th of July Celebration
- When: 10:00 a.m.- 11 p.m. July 4
- What: Parkville’s traditional salute to Independence Day includes a pancake breakfast, a community parade, food, fun, shopping, a skydiving exhibition, and a fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Parkville
- Cost: Free
- When: 3 p.m. – 9:40 p.m. July 4.
- What: The National WWI Museum and Memorial host Kansas City’s official Independence Day Celebration. Grab a bite to eat, shop with local vendors, listen to live music featuring Kansas KC Native Casi Joy, and enjoy fireworks over the Memorial. Additional entertainment is provided by Kadesh Flow, All Night Trio, Marching Cobras, One Night Stand, and the KC Irish Dance Company. Grounds open at 3 p.m. Fireworks begin around 9:40 p.m. Event is rain or shine.

- What: Always on the Fourth. The lineup for the Parade begins on Sterling at 10 a.m. Fireworks begin at dusk, approximately 9 p.m.

Worlds of Fun 50 Nights of Fire and July 4 Celebration
- When: “End of day” at the park – Starting Saturday, June 24, and running nightly through Aug. 12
- What: Celebrate the park’s 50th Anniversary along with Independence Day with a 15-minute-long fireworks and drone show to celebrate the park’s golden anniversary. The show will feature 100+ drones, Peanuts characters, hundreds of pyrotechnics, and a special narration and soundtrack.
