KCR Gives Back: Complimentary Services Provided for Kansas City Iconic Landmark

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”] [et_pb_row admin_label=”row”] [et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”]  Kansas City’s 100-year-old historic Union Station is a hub of culture, education, and entertainment. It is a premier destination for national traveling exhibits, 3D movies on the Extreme Screen, exploration of our world at Science City, or a cup of coffee or special meal in a beautiful, historic building. Union Station has something for everyone in the family. Every year, Union Station also provides a festive space to celebrate the holidays with spectacular decorations and events.  This year, a magical new Holiday Reflections walk-thru village has been created with Covid-19 restrictions in mind.  This spectacular themed experience fills Union Station’s massive Grand Plaza and features sky-reaching lights, dozens of decorated trees, forest friends and giant, floating mirrored ornaments in addition to a bigger-than-ever Rudy’s Wonderland.  The Home for the Holidays features the brilliant sights and sounds as only Kansas City’s historic home can deliver. As many local businesses have struggled during the pandemic, Union Station operations have also been difficult to navigate.  Facility improvements are highly dependent on donations, which have been low in recent months.  The Grand Plaza floors were in need of cleaning and polishing before visitors arrived for the holiday celebrations. KC Restoration cleaned and polished the main walkway under the holiday globes at no charge to help restore and beautify this historic floor. If you are interested in helping Union Station continue to serve and beautify our city, consider purchasing a KC Strong shirt, seeing a $3 classic movie, purchasing a membership as a holiday gift, or making a general donation at www.unionstation.org.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column] [/et_pb_row] [/et_pb_section]
