SomeraRoad has hired Colliers International to lease and manage an office campus located at 5200 Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park, Kan. It is a large 26.2-acre office campus with flexible floor plates than accommodate tenants in need of almost any size of space.

Businesses can utilize a minimum 4,000 square foot space up to a large 300,000 square feet space. 78,000 square feet is contiguous on a single floor. Renovations of the lobby, café, conference facilities, fitness facility and multiple outdoor patios will begin soon. The name of the campus is also changing and being rebranded as Summit52.

The leasing team – led by Ross Simpson and RC Jensen – is thrilled to take on this project.

“The building itself has so many unique features that tenants will be excited about,” says Ross. “And the location is easily accessible from anywhere in the metro, making Summit52 one of the most desirable office assets in the market,” adds RC.

Jim Unruh – Senior Vice President and head of Colliers International, Kansas City’s Management Services Group – is pleased to expand the firm’s 8+ million-square-foot portfolio in Kansas City.

“Our tailored team – led by Senior Manager Kaci Nowak – is excited to work with SomeraRoad through the renovation phase, and we look forward to providing top-tier management services as the vacancies fill.”

SomeraRoad has made its mark on the Kansas City real estate market with its acquisitions of 3Y and Lightwell, formerly known as City Center Square. The firm acquired 3Y as a distressed and almost entirely vacant property, renovated it, and successfully leased it to 100 percent occupancy. They took a similar approach with the distressed City Center Square property, recently renamed Lightwell, which is wrapping up a $16 million renovation with more than 150,000 square feet of new leases to date.
